Allow the ice to melt, then blot up the water with a gentle white cloth.You don’t want to cause stains due to colour transfer!.Once the water has been blotted up, use your fingers to gently rub the fibres back to their previous fluffy position.
You can also use a carpet rake or a fork for this (but be gentle.).This method is only useful for small dents.
